Golden Ponds Anniversary Session | Longmont, Co | Paige &Ryan

Almost twelve years of marriage, and these two are still laughing like it's the first year. Paige and Ryan, I am absolutely obsessed with you both.

I had been so excited for this session, and Golden Ponds in Longmont did not disappoint. If you haven't been out there during golden hour, put it on your list immediately. The way the late light filters through the trees and spills across the water is just breathtaking! Warm and golden and completely magical. Add in a charming little bridge, a winding creek, and the most gorgeous green surroundings, and you have the kind of setting that makes a photographer's heart sing. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite Colorado anniversary session locations, and after an evening like this one I can absolutely see why.

And then there was Paige in that black lace dress. Against all that golden light and lush greenery she was absolutely stunning. The way the light wrapped around her and Ryan as they walked along the path, the bridge framing them just perfectly in the background...I mean, I could not have dreamed it up better if I tried. And have you seen her gorgeous blue eyes?! No? Well, you will!

One of my favorite things about photographing a Colorado anniversary session is that there is this depth to the images that you just can't replicate with a newer couple. Twelve years of inside jokes, of choosing each other over and over again, of building a life together, that shows up in front of the camera whether you intend it to or not. With Paige and Ryan it was everywhere. The playfulness, the easy laughter, the way they looked at each other when they thought I wasn't watching, those are the moments I live for as a photographer. My process is always about creating space for those genuine moments to surface naturally, and with these two I barely had to do a thing. They just gave it to me, over and over again, all evening long.

Paige and Ryan, thank you so much for trusting me with your anniversary. Twelve years is something truly worth celebrating, and I am so honored I got to be a small part of it. Here's to many, many more!
